Unbelievable: A key member of the Denver team who had an affair with a teammate’s wife has been…

Richard Keys’s 36-year marriage to his cancer-stricken wife revealed his alleged liaison with his daughter’s friend.

The 66-year-old former Sky Sports host, who recently tied the knot, first became acquainted with Lucie Rose while working for Al Jazeera in Doha.

Richard’s actress daughter Jemma had called Lucie a “friend” in an earlier interview, but Richard has since refuted this in a statement.

Richard relocated to the Middle East with his ex-wife Julia and their kids Josh and Jemma after being fired from Sky due to a recording of him making sexist remarks that was discovered to have been leaked.

But things started to go wrong after the presenter’s birthday celebration, which 34-year-old lawyer Lucie attended.

A harmless query
It’s thought that a mutual acquaintance on the Qatari expat social scene introduced Richard and Lucie.

She recalled the initial indication that something was wrong in her marriage, saying: “I remember at Richard’s birthday party, just as I was leaving, Lucie grabbed my arm and said, ‘Are you leaving now, Julia?’ I haven’t told anyone this before. I found her insistence strange because Richard was taking a long time to return home.

“When I questioned him, he said Lucie needed to talk to him as she had a problem.”

Julia claims that when Richard dozed off on a train and she responded to texts Lucie Rose had apparently been sending to his phone, she had proof positive that she was having an affair.

“Suddenly a message came through from Lucie saying, ‘Are you OK?'” she told the Mail on Sunday. I picked up the phone, wrote “no,” and pretended to be Richard. I’m not.

“You sound so sad,’ was the reply. I wish I could give you a big cuddle right now. From then on, we continued messaging.”
