Another terrible news hit the Flyers head coach as John Tortorella has sorrowfully announced…

Following the trade, Flyers head coach John Tortorella got into a heated argument with reporter Anthony SanFilippo at a press conference. Tortorella claimed the reporter “caused a problem” with Hayes.

When the two saw each other again on Saturday, Torts would have none of it.

When SanFilippo attempted to pose a question to Tortorella, the coach acknowledged him.

“Are you still this guy? Tortorella inquired, “Did I go at you the last time?”

It seems Torts received a yes.

Tortorella remarked, “I’m not answering any of your questions.”

Sanfilippo claimed that Hayes’ “fingerprints were all over” the trade; however, Hayes and Gauthier refuted this claim. But Tortorella inquired about San Filippo’s presence in the conference room a few days after the report was released. And Sanfilippo was there.

“Are you serious? Do you believe Kevin Hayes will take a similar action? Bullshit on that, Tortorella shot back. “The fact that you guys throw that around and it has an impact on someone’s life pisses me off. Kevin and I were at odds.

We were unable to agree on how to play. What a nice man that is! That man is good, and he will remember what you said. What you people don’t get is that. You’ll claim to have the appropriate sources while you’re sitting there. I refer to them as bullshit.”

SanFilippo was referred to by Hayes as “a f—ing clown” who was “making s— up.”

In addition, Gauthier claimed the report was untrue and that he had been receiving death threats.

According to Gauthier, “Kevin Hayes had nothing to do with the situation at hand,” Ducks Stream, the team podcast, reported.
