The Seahawks in great jeopardy as another key player has expressed a strong desire to leave, and he’s very keen to pen a new deal with…
One of the NFL’s most sought-after athletes, quarterback Russell Wilson, has been the subject of rumors for a few weeks or even months. Some believe his days as a member of the Seattle Seahawks are over.
Wilson’s potential trade before the summer is still a topic of discussion; in fact, NFL insider Ian Rapoport recently stated that neither the quarterback nor the Seahawks rule out such a move.
“Russ is curious about his alternatives. “He wants to take a look around and see, but I’m not saying he’s going to go,” Rapoport stated.
It’s the same issue that Seattle has been facing for the past few years. Who will start at quarterback for them, even if they receive a fantastic offer, and how soon can they rebuild? Since Pete Carroll will turn 71 this year and doesn’t want a full-year reconstruction,” the NFL insider continued.
Wilson makes it clear whether or not he wants to remain in Seattle.
But last Friday night, when asked if he planned to leave the team in the upcoming offseason, or sooner, quarterback Wilson, 33, did not hold back in providing the information that many were eager to know.
“I’ve had the good fortune to play for ten incredible years in Seattle; my objective is to return there and continue to win. That is the aim and the vision. Wilson said to Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, “That’s always been it, never been anything different.”
Wilson, a former Super Bowl champion, seems to want to stay with the Seahawks, but Seattle needs to convince him that it still wants him as their quarterback.
