Another terrible news hit the Sooners as they’ve sorrowfully announced…

A former Sooner suffered a season-ending injury as the Oklahoma Sooners continued their record-breaking winning streak. Star pitcher Jordy Bahl suffered an ACL tear during the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ opening game, which ended her season.

Bahl played two seasons in Norman, Oklahoma, where she claimed two national titles. During her tenure at Norman, she recorded a 44-2 record, 397 strikeouts, and a 0.99 ERA.

Patty Gasso, her previous coach, was questioned on Bahl’s injury. Gasso remarked, “It’s sad.” It’s just awful for everyone. You wish Jordy well, although she had injuries as a freshman. She was conversing with our team as we were sitting at the airport. The recollections still exist. Their final recollection was about performing live with Toby Keith. They will always treasure that, especially right now. They still share this connection. Together, you are on the battlefields.

Redshirting this season, Bahl wrote on Instagram that she is “looking forward to a season of growth and learning from a different point of view.”

She concluded by announcing that she would return to play for her home state team in 2025.
