Another terrible news hit: the head coach of Massimiliano Allegri has sorrowfully announced his retirement
Though Juventus’ issues extend beyond the manager and his team, the coach deserves to be fired for his terrible play style and results.
Angel Di Maria was fast to assign blame for one of the worst days in the history of Juventus.
Di Maria posted on Instagram following his red card in Sunday’s crushing 1-0 loss at Monza, which DAZN’s Massimo Ambrosini called the Old Lady’s worst performance in fifteen years. “Leaving the team a man down in such a difficult moment of the season made us lose the game,” Maria wrote.
Still, at least he was facing the music. He was prepared to accept responsibility for his error and get up. On Sunday, nobody spoke out about the true culprits behind Juventus’ current terrible predicament. or on Monday.
It felt fitting, in fact, that the coach had already vanished from view when the U-Power Stadium whistle blew and the camera panned to the box where Massimiliano Allegri had been forced to sit because of his suspension.
After Allegri was sent off during last week’s 2-2 draw with Salernitana, his assistant Marco Landucci was left to deal with the media, while the players took the brunt of the criticism from the supporters.
To be honest, it was difficult to feel anything but sympathy for Leonardo Bonucci and company as they stood in front of the away end and took a barrage of insults.
