Todd Monken, the OC of the Ravens, was suspended for his bad act due to stoburness, and he won’t be active until…
Even though the senior wing of offensive coordinators has joined this group, this is still each player’s first job as an NFL OC. This offseason, HC expressed interest in three of the six.
One of the biggest stories of the summer has been Johnson’s standing back in Detroit, a development that the Commanders have not been too fond of. For weeks this offseason, the two-year Lions offensive coordinator was thought to be the front-runner for the Washington position.
When team brass learned that Johnson intended to stay in Detroit and delay his long-expected move to the head coach position until at least 2025, they exchanged heated words. Dan Campbell will still be able to hire Johnson through 2024, but it is reasonable to anticipate that he will remain a top-tier HC candidate in 2019.
After Kafka’s interview for the HC post with the Seahawks, the Giants prevented him from meeting with the NFC West team regarding the opening for the OC position.

Trevor Lawrence did not perform as well as many had anticipated, and Doug Pederson gave Taylor the call sheet the previous season.
Following a collapse that prevented the Jaguars from making the playoffs, the team started assessing their offensive position.
Out of the 15 OCs hired in 2023, only nine are still working for their teams. After that group canned its head coach, some were shown the way out, while Canals advanced up the ladder. The only team that employed Brian Johnson as an offensive coordinator after just one season was the Eagles. After an extremely dismal ending, Nick Sirianni sacked both of his coordinators.
