After much negotiation, the Seahawks have finally agreed to sign an anticipated $150 million Pro Bowl super phenomenal  player from…

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Patrick Queen has been linked to the Baltimore Ravens on multiple occasions. Since the Seahawks signed former Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, the rumors have been louder.

There may be opportunity for Queen to sign with Seattle now that Bobby Wagner and Jordyn Brooks are also eligible for free agency. Mitchel Milani of Bleacher Report believes that Macdonald’s first significant action as a Seattle resident will be the signing of Queen by the Seahawks.

Milani said during a live Bleacher Report broadcast on February 14, 2024, “The middle of their defense could use work.” “Patrick Queen enters, I believe; he is acquainted with the framework.

Could lead the way and contribute right away. Establish yourself as Mike Macdonald’s leader on his half of the court. It is quite logical. It fits well.

Patrick Queen, a possible target for the Seattle Seahawks, is expected to sign a five-year, $92 million contract.

The Seahawks chose to select the defense with the No. 27 choice in the 2020 NFL draft, so Brooks and Queen will always be connected. One spot ahead of Queen, who the Ravens drafted at No. 28, was chosen by Seattle for Brooks.

Since the linebackers are unrestricted free agents, may the Seahawks attempt to pair them together? In the upcoming months, Queen might come at a high cost.

According to Spotrac, Queen’s market worth is a $92.6 million, five-year agreement. Given the current NFL wage cap, this would give the defense an average yearly compensation of $18.5 million, which is a significant amount for a linebacker. Queen recently finished her $12.1 million, four-year rookie contract.

In contrast, Queen’s next deal is expected to bring in more than twice as much money as Brooks’. According to Spotrac, Brooks’ market value is estimated to be a $45.3 million, four-year contract.

Should the two players’ financial differences be this great? Queen recently made his debut in the Baltimore Pro Bowl. The Seahawks might be interested in monitoring Brooks’ performance in Macdonald’s new scheme.

In 17 starts last season, Queen recorded a career-high 133 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 6 quarterback hits, 3.5 sacks, 6 pass deflections, 1 interception, and a forced fumble. Queen has four NFL seasons under his belt, and one of his most impressive achievements is that he has started every game for the Ravens without missing one.

Mike Macdonald, according to Patrick Queen, is “the best candidate out there.”

According to reports, Mike Macdonald will interview for the head coach positions with the Commanders and Seahawks. Patrick Queen, his linebacker, believes Macdonald is the most qualified applicant.

If he departs, “whoever gets him is probably going to get the best candidate out there.”

Would Queen be willing to go to Seattle with Macdonald? When asked about Macdonald’s future before he signed with the Seahawks, the linebacker gushed over the coach.

As of right now, Queen told reporters, “I believe he is the best candidate out there,” January 29. Nobody, in my opinion, does [it] quite like him. No one is as concerned as he is. Nobody will carry out his actions. He won’t stop working until everything is perfect.

Queen said, “So, whoever gets him, if he leaves, probably gets like the best candidate out there.” “The guy is the best person I’ve ever been around, period. In terms of a coach, a person, and just his genuine concern. He genuinely cares about the fans, the players, and everyone associated with the organization.
