In the offseason, Tyler Huntley might be a great addition for the Indianapolis Colts in case quarterback Gardner Minshew signs with another team.
Gardner Minshew, a free agent, may depart from the Indianapolis Colts in the spring. The quarterback position will need to be addressed by the team if that happens. One of the top backup quarterbacks in the NFL, Tyler Huntley, makes sense as a replacement.
Huntley’s offseason will see him become a free agent. For the previous four seasons, he has been Lamar Jackson’s backup quarterback. Given Jackson’s history of injuries, Huntley might be signed again by the Baltimore Ravens. But the Colts must land Huntley if that doesn’t work and Minshew leaves town.

Minshew joined the Colts in March of last year. He ultimately fell short against rookie Anthony Richardson in a quarterback competition. But in Week 5, Richardson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury that forced him to start.
