The NFL’s annual Scouting Combine has seen increasing broadcast attention over the past few years. In 2023, NFL fans will still have a variety of ways to see players perform in drills and athletic testing, including a new option where actual NFL players will be in the booth.

NFL Network has always provided the majority of coverage of the Combine, and that will continue next week. Nevertheless, as part of the workouts, the league is adding additional features to its NFL+ membership app, such as the Players Only Combine. In order to add their own perspectives, experiences, and opinions on the occasion and the drills at their positions, current NFL players are included in this coverage.

One current Green Bay Packer and one past Packer will be covering the Players Only Combine as part of the running back contingent for Sunday’s broadcast. The coverage will feature former players Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams, who were both selected by the Packers in the 2017 NFL Draft, in addition to the NFL Network analyst staff.

Before Williams left as a free agency prior to the 2021 season, Jones and Williams were teammates for four seasons with the Packers. Throughout their four seasons together, the two were the team’s main 1-2 punch, averaging over 1,000 running yards per. Jones even broke the 1,000-yard barrier on his own in the 2019 and 2020 seasons. With the Detroit Lions, Williams at last enjoyed a 1,000-yard campaign in 2022. He also set an NFL record with 17 rushing touchdowns.
