The top player for the Baltimore Ravens is officially taking a break due to a serious illness.
Lamar Jackson is not present at the Ravens’ Thursday practice as they get ready to play the Los Angeles Rams.
Jackson is away for the first time this season. Speaking with the reporters after practice on Wednesday, he made no indication that anything was amiss.
Head Coach John Harbaugh should handle inquiries over Jackson’s health, according to Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken.
After the bye, Jackson is the only Ravens player who is not practicing. The team’s overall health is good. Rashod Bateman, a wide receiver, made his session return on Thursday after missing it on Wednesday due to illness.
