The top player for the Atlanta Falcons is officially taking a break due to a serious illness.
Falcons injury report: As Colts practice week progresses, Bud Dupree, David Onyemata, Kaleb McGary, and others’ statuses are updated.
David Onyemata, the defensive tackle, and Kaleb McGary, the right tackle, resumed practice on Thursday.
Flory Branch, Georgia: Outside linebacker Bud Dupree was not in practice on Thursday, but offensive linemen David Onyemata and Kaleb McGary were, according to the organization.
For the second practice of the week, Onyemata (ankle) and McGary (knee) were classified as limited participants. For the first time since he was hurt in Week 13, McGary participated in practice.
Dupree (back) did not attend the session on Thursday, having played all out on Wednesday after being declared inactive for the Week 15 game. Punter Bradley Pinion (personal matter, unrelated to injury) and center Ryan Neuzil (sickness) missed practice on Thursday as well.
For the second day in a row, offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom (ankle), Drew Dalman (ankle), and Jake Matthews (knee) were limited. Thursday’s practice was also limited for defensive lineman Calais Campbell (illness), who had taken the day off the day before. Complete back Keith Smith (ankle) took part in the second practice of the week in full.
