The Shang-Chi actor disclosed that he lost his grandparents to the virus in 2021 before revealing that he had tested positive for COVID-19 in January.
“CoVID claimed my grandparents’ lives last year. On January 28, he posted on Twitter, saying, “They were still waiting for their vaccines.” “I’m lucky to have received a booster shot and a double vaccination when I contracted COVID two weeks ago. felt chilly to the touch.”
As an ambassador for UNICEF Canada, he mentioned in his tweet that he had witnessed “the organization’s efforts to deliver vaccines to underprivileged families around the world.”
“It’s a reminder of how lucky we are to be living in places where vaccine delivery and storage are not an issue,” he wrote prior to stating, “Please, PLEASE appreciate that.”
