With a game remaining and a stronger team, Rangers are now only three points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. It’s safe to conclude that the team had a productive January.

In an attempt to maintain that momentum off the field, the Gers are allegedly planning a summer acquisition to make up for a deal that fell through during the winter window.

The Scottish powerhouses were unable in closing the deal for Fluminense left-back Jefte. Reportedly, the reason for the collapse of the deal was Fluminense’s inability to terminate Jefte’s loan at APOEL Nicosia. The left-back’s parent club was unwilling to match APOEL’s demand of £500k to end the move.
