The Bengals Are the Best Landing Spot for Former All-Pro Running Back, According to Major Outlet.
CINCINNATI — According to PFF’s Brad Spielberger, Josh Jacobs, a free agent running back from the Raiders, should end up with the Bengals or Packers.
After a career-best 2022 season, Jacobs disappointed with 805 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 3.5 yards per carry the previous season.
“The Bengals hypothetically move on from running back Joe Mixon in this exercise, getting younger at the position with Jacobs,” Spielberger stated. Over the years, Cincinnati has given Mixon targets and carries, and Jacobs is capable of carrying the same workload as a workhorse back.
“Green Bay was reportedly one of the teams calling about Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor before he eventually signed an extension, and A.J. Dillon is a pending free agent while Aaron Jones is still uber-efficient despite missing a lot of time in 2023.”
This offseason, Cincinnati can save over $6 million against the cap by cutting Joe Mixon.

The Cincinnati Bengals are among the select few NFL teams that could potentially contend for a Super Bowl.
The Bengals entered the 2023 NFL season as one of the few teams hoping to make it to Super Bowl LVIII, but Burrow’s season-ending wrist injury ended any chance of that.
When healthy, Burrow is considered by many to be among the best players in the league, but unfortunate injuries have prevented him from having the chance to demonstrate his ability to compete at the greatest levels.
Burrow seems ready for more after making it to one Super Bowl, but he’ll need to continue playing to demonstrate it.
Still, not many players can throw the football as well as he can when he’s available.
Bengals legend Anthony Munoz, who appeared on The Jim Rome Show, said he is always amazed by Burrow after having multiple opportunities to watch him up close.
Munoz remarked, “I just sit there and I’m amazed at every part of his game.” “I attend every home game that he plays in.”
“I sit there, amazed at every aspect of his game. Every time he plays at home, I attend.”
It’s high praise coming from one of the best offensive tackles of his playing career, Munoz, who would have loved to block for Burrow’s caliber of play.
Burrow is one of the select few who can claim to have led their team to a Super Bowl and has all the makings of an NFL superstar.
Cincinnati has a lot riding on the 2024 NFL season, so it will be interesting to see if Burrow can live up to his potential as a signal caller who can win championships.
