How-Many-First-Round-Picks-Do-the-Bears-Have-in-2024-1

SEALED; Chicago Bears have just completed another major big monster Deal.

On Tuesday, the Bears signed defensive end Khalid Kareem and center Doug Kramer Jr. to reserve/future contracts.

Illinois native Kramer was chosen by the Bears in the sixth round of the 2022 draft. He had a leg injury that kept him out of action his entire rookie season, but this season he made two appearances as a reserve. After joining the Cardinals in November off the Bears practice squad, Kramer was cut two weeks later without making a single game appearance. Then he was back with the Bears.

In a loss to the Chargers in Los Angeles on October 29, Kareem made one appearance this season and recorded one tackle and one pass breakup. After playing three seasons with the Bengals (2020–21) and Colts (2022–2023), Kareem joined the Bears in 2023. During that time, he recorded 29 tackles, 1.0 sack, and two tackles for loss.

Fifteen players, the majority of whom were on the practice squad for all or part of the 2023 season, have now signed reserve/future contracts with the Bears. The list is as follows:

LB Baskerville Micah
TE Jerome Carvin, DB; Stephen Carlson, OL Adrian Colbert, a database Coleman Douglas
OL Collins Aviante DL David Dwumfour DL Khalid Kareem OL Daniel Hardy DL Doug Kramer Jr. Cameron Lyons, OL Roy Mbaeteka OL P Corliss Waitman WR Nsimba Webster Bill Murray
