SAD NEWS: Dallas has just completed a monster deal
FRISCO – This week, star cornerback Trevon Diggs tore his ACL during practice, dealing a devastating blow to the Dallas Cowboys’ NFL-leading defense. With DaRon Bland taking over at cornerback and Jourdan Lewis filling in, undefeated Dallas enters Week 3 with a plan—a good one—to make up for the loss against winless Arizona on Sunday.
Additionally, Jerry Jones, the team’s owner, has made a witty comment about how the Cowboys can’t truly “replace” the All-Pro Diggs along the way. “You can’t do that,” Jones uttered. That simply isn’t true. That would be akin to declaring, “I want to be Tom Cruise.” These players are too important to replace.”

However, as Chief Operating Officer Stephen Jones likes to say, personnel management is a “24/7” endeavor, and Dallas is evidently keeping an eye out to add additional support, even though the team has made it clear that Anthony Brown, a known commodity street free agent, is not currently being considered.
Exist any other plausible names? FanSided has identified Bradley Roby, Casey Heyward, Cameron Dantzler, A.J. Green, and Darius Phillips as the five cornerbacks that Dallas may consider signing.
Who are the two guys on the wall with the most skins? That would be Roby and Heyward. However, one could argue that since both players are so far along in their careers, the Cowboys might be okay with them starting opposite the excellent rookie Stephon Gilmore, especially with players like Israel Mukuamu, Noah Igbinoghene, and Eric Scott Jr. available to assist.
However, just in case? 31-year-old Roby was a member of the New Orleans Saints last season. He was once selected in the first round and is a native of Fort Worth. Heyward is thirty-four. Though that was during his time with the Chargers in 2016 and 2017, he has made two trips to the Pro Bowl.
The truth is that Bland, Lewis, and the others have earned the right to be an accelerated part of the program, and there isn’t any evidence that Roby and Heyward are currently better than what the Cowboys – who are 2-0 after outscoring their opponents 70-10 over the first two weeks – currently have on their roster.
