About our video, Hunt just sent a statement to ESPN in which he said, “I want to apologize for my actions.” I sincerely regret my actions. I want to go past this.

Kareem Hunt has been cut by the Chiefs,  who claim he lied to the team when they spoke with him about the incident.

The team claims that after calling in Hunt and “several members of our management team spoke directly to him,” they were notified when the NFL and Cleveland Police Department began their investigations. During those conversations, Kareem was dishonest. That is confirmed by the video that was released today.”

According to TMZ, a source with knowledge of the NFL investigation, the league tried several times to get the footage but was denied access. The league was informed by the hotel that it is company policy to only provide CCTV footage to law enforcement when the league made contact with them.

COO Tony Quintal responded to our message at The 9 Metropolitan by saying, “We realize that this is an ongoing investigation and cannot share any additional information at this time.”

The NFL reportedly tried to obtain the video by contacting Cleveland Police as well, but they were also turned down. According to the source, the league contacted the purported victim as part of its inquiry, but she did not reply.

5:26 P.M. PT Hunt has been placed on the commissioner exempt list by the NFL, which means he will not be able to practice, play, or attend games. According to the NFL, “The NFL’s investigation, which began immediately following the incident in February, will include a review of the new information that was made public today.”

1:13 PM PT ESPN’s Dan Graziano claims that Hunt has been sent home from the Chiefs’ practice facility.

According to him, Hunt will most likely be added to the commissioner’s exempt list, which means he won’t likely be available for Sunday’s Chiefs vs. Raiders game in Oakland.

Video of Kansas City Chiefs star running back Kareem Hunt pushing, pushing, and kicking a lady at a Cleveland hotel back in February has been obtained by TMZ Sports.

Despite the incident occurring MONTHS before the 2018 NFL season began, Kareem has not missed a single game this season. In August, franchise CEO Clark Hunt publicly expressed his doubts that Hunt would get a suspension.

On February 10, 2018, around 3:22 AM, Hunt can be seen on the video arguing with a woman, who is 19 years old, outside of his room at The Metropolitan at the 9.

Hunt approaches the woman from behind and gives her a forceful shove. Hunt loses control when the lady strikes him in the face again.

The 2017 Pro Bowler, who led the league in rushing yards, blows up and slams one of his buddies into the woman, sending them both flying into a wall despite friends’ attempts to stop him.

The woman and Kareem’s male buddy both seem stunned, but Kareem approaches the woman and kicks her while she is crouching on the ground, toppling her.

Despite the police being summoned, no one was taken into custody. Law authorities reportedly received surveillance video from the hotel, according to police reports that TMZ Sports was able to get. We are informed that the video was included in the evidence that was provided to the prosecution.

Careem speaks with cops.
Nevertheless, authorities claim they were unable to establish whether a crime had been committed, which is why they did not make an arrest of Hunt or press charges.

The woman told officers at the scene that Kareem’s ejection from his room for refusing to hook up with one of the males in his group was the catalyst for the entire incident.

When asked to leave, the woman went berserk, according to Kareem’s pals, and started calling him derogatory names. Once things became violent, the woman even hit one of Kareem’s female friends.

It’s unclear why Hunt has not been disciplined by the NFL. We inquired with the league to see if they followed up on the footage. We also got in touch with the police to see if the NFL had been in touch with them over the clip.

The whole thing reminds me of the Ray Rice scandal from February 2014, when the NFL player passed out in a hotel elevator with his then-fiancee.

The NFL declared that they had not viewed the vicious knockout video from inside the elevator until our story, at which point they suspended him indefinitely.

Following the event, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell declared that the league will restructure its policy and admitted shortcomings in the investigation process.

The NFL says that since then, it has made an effort to be more strict with players who are accused of assaulting women. Most notably, the league suspended Ezekiel Elliott for six games in 2017 after it was alleged that he had physical altercations with an ex-girlfriend in 2016.
