Don deal;  The Green Bay Packers have just added another top player to their squad.

The Green Bay Packers knew going into the 2023 season that it would be a year of change after trading Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.

When they started the season with a 3–6 record and dealt Rasul Douglas to the Buffalo Bills for a third-round pick during the trade deadline, it appeared particularly so.

However, the Packers rebounded from that game, winning six of their next eight games, and Jordan Love turned from a question mark to a star, leading them into the postseason.

Thus, the Packers should concentrate on re-signing Keisean Nixon and Bo Melton, two important players who are set to become unrestricted free agents in 2024 and who contributed significantly to this run.

Not many players who were significant contributors to the team this year are set to become free agents and join the Packers. However, Keisean Nixon made a significant contribution to the team in 2023. Nixon’s contributions to special teams are what made him most well-known.

Not only has he led the NFL in kick return yards the past two seasons, but his return skills have also earned him a spot on the first team of the Pro Team. In Green Bay’s defeat to the San Francisco 49ers, his return skills were evident as he set up a touchdown that gave the Packers the lead back with a 73-yard kick return.

But Nixon is more than just a kick returner. This season, he has also performed admirably for the Packers as a nickel corner. In addition to his interception against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, which helped the Packers win that game and served as a spark for Green Bay’s late-season surge, Nixon had a couple of pass deflections on the season.
