“I want to start by expressing my gratitude to the Indianapolis Colts organization for giving me the chance to play in the NFL for the last three years. My ties with many of my teammates, coaches, and support staff have lasted a lifetime and have had a profound influence on me. “I’ll be able to apply the lessons I’ve learned in this stage of my life to my next chapter,” Willis began.

“After careful thought and prayer, I have decided to formally retire from the NFL in order to dedicate the rest of my life to spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. I want to express my gratitude to everyone in my family, friends, and supporters for helping me along the way. I look forward to having your support going forward as I enter the next stage of my life.

“I am filled with joy and purpose as I pursue the holy call that God has placed on my life, and I am also filled with humility.” I appreciate all of your help throughout the years.
