Currently signed to Under Armour’s roster are five MVPs, including the man known as Steph Curry. The NBA star, however, had the option to sign with Nike in 2013, the year before he had his breakthrough campaign, but the Swoosh opted to let him walk. The apparel behemoth now regrets its choice, but since Under Armour (NYSE:UAA +0.93%) has the 27-year-old signed through 2024—pretty much the entirety of his career—they may never have another opportunity to sign him. With golfer Jordan Spieth and swimmer Michael Phelps among its roster members and sales up 28% from the previous year, UA has solidified its position as the No. 2 sportswear brand in the United States.
