Matt LaFleur has just announced another monstrous addition to his team as he tend to solidify his team walls with this monumental deal..
The previous two days have seen the Green Bay Packers add safety Tyler Coyle and cornerback Anthony Johnson to their 16-man practice squad.
Following their addition of practice squad members Bo Melton, a receiver, and safety Benny Sapp III to the 53-man roster during the last week, the Packers had openings.
The Packers are gaining two recently undrafted secondary players in Coyle and Johnson who could be available on future contracts after the 2023 season concludes in Green Bay.
In 2021, Coyle (6-1, 209) did not receive a draft pick from Purdue. He played with the Dallas Cowboys for the most of 2021 and 2022, even making three appearances during which he had eight tackles (three on special teams) on 37 defensive snaps and 56 on special teams. Earlier in the season, the Packers invited Coyle for a workout.
Johnson (6-2, 205), a rookie free agency from Virginia who was not selected, is beginning his second tenure on the practice squad of the Packers. Green Bay released him during the end of November.
The only cornerbacks and safeties on the Packers practice squad are Zyon Gilbert, Coyle, and Johnson.
