Will Hardy, the head coach of the Utah Jazz, has just reported heartbreaking news concerning his life

Due to a back ailment, Utah Jazz star forward Lauri Markkanen was unable to play against the Kings on Monday. Despite missing their finest player, the Jazz performed remarkably well, defeating the Kings 128–120 in the end thanks to 27 points from Ochai Agbaji.

Another positive development for Jazz supporters is that it looks like they won’t have to wait much longer for Markkanen to return to the court, according to a recent injury report.

Markkanen practiced with the Jazz in full on Tuesday, according to a tweet from the NBA account of Underdog Fantasy. The Utah Jazz will play the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.

In his sixth NBA season, Markkanen, 25, is playing for the Jazz for the first time. In 63 games this season (all starts), he has averaged 25.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks per contest.

SUGGESTED PELICANS David Griffin, perhaps carrying one of those paddles, shopping, or participating in an auction. Jaren Jackson Jr., Trae Young, and Lauri Markkanen are all up for grabs or going up for auction.

Markkanen, a native of Finland, is shooting the ball extremely well from the field in the 2022–23 season, at least by his own standards. His current field goal percentage of 50.3% is by far the greatest of his professional career.

At this time in the season, every game matters for the Jazz, so let’s hope that Markkanen is able to play on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Lakers are a half-game behind the Jazz in the standings, and the team is clinging to the final Western Conference playoff position. Positively, though, the Jazz have a relatively simple schedule to finish the regular season: seven of their remaining 11 games will take place at home.
