TRADE UPDATE: Trae Young’s Status vs. Golden State Warriors Revealed
Trae Young has been ruled out of Wednesday night’s Atlanta Hawks game against the Golden State Warriors due to concussion protocol, according to the team’s injury report. For Atlanta, who have suffered despite Young’s outstanding play this season, this is a significant loss.
This is the Warriors’ first game back following assistant coach Dejan Milojevic’s death. Within the Warriors organization, people’s hearts are still heavy because everyone is supporting one another through this extremely trying time. After Milojevic’s death, Golden State had two games postponed; this matchup with Atlanta marks their first game back since.
Atlanta is ranked 10th in the Eastern Conference and the Warriors are the 12th seed in the Western Conference going into this match. Though there is still plenty of time in the season to make things right, neither team is currently where they would like to be in terms of seeding.
At the trade deadline, Atlanta is predicted to take a different approach than the Warriors and could even deal Dejounte Murray, one of Golden State’s best players. The Warriors, who want to be buyers at the deadline in an effort to salvage this season, are reportedly among the teams interested in Murray.
