Let’s examine the Warriors going forward. We have some very advanced, top-secret time-travel technology here at Blue Man Hoop. We made the decision to use it to monitor the Dubs’ progress in subsequent years. Next time, we’ll save the world.
Notice: All of this is humored. To be honest, I don’t think any of this will occur. With the exception of the 7-peat. That is undoubtedly taking place. Right now, you guys are just competing for second place.

2024. Seven years have passed since that fateful day in 2016 when Kevin Durant chose to join the Warriors. That day, everything was different.

NBA fans opened their Twitter accounts in a hurry. Every take was intense. Not a single person even argued about whether a hot dog qualified as a sandwich for the whole week. It was complete mayhem.

But back in the present, things have somewhat calmed down. The Warriors are all gathered at their team’s July 4th barbecue in 2024. All of the players are present, along with their families, ranging from Karl-Anthony Towns (who joined after his rookie contract expired) to Stephen Curry. No longer a young child performing at a press conference, assistant coach Riley Curry is currently dominating assistant coach Andre Iguodala in a one-on-one game on the driveway hoop while Ron Adams tends to the grill.

The Curry-Thompson-Green-Durant compound is the venue for the annual party. When the estate was constructed, it was the first of its kind. Never before in history have four friends purchased a whole mall and created their own little community for themselves and their families. You wouldn’t believe it now if you thought the Warriors had a strong team dynamic when they first won the championship in 2015. I mean, everyone lives together in what has become known as the “Splash Family.” They behave as if they are a family. In the center of the compound, they constructed a lake where they all go diving.

In actuality, they are the splash family.

Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant—the four original members of “Dub Town,” as they all called their compound—sneak away from the festivities for a short while. They were all a little tired of the never-ending shoe wars, so they decided to start their own shoe brand. Now, they all wear “Shield” at all times. The brand’s name was purportedly an homage to a warrior and his shield, but Draymond simply thought it was a cool word, according to multiple sources.

The four of them then ascend to Steph’s balcony to observe the celebration below them, which is taking place on the very property they constructed.

“Hasn’t it all been a blur?” Says KD.

“Yes, really… Do you recall the times we used to lose games? Steph probes the assembly.

To be honest, Draymond says. “nope”

Everyone chuckles.

They can all laugh, too. since being a Warrior is a good life.

The Warriors wasted little time in delivering on their promise to Durant of winning the rings after they were transformed into the league’s super villains in 2016 with the acquisition of KD. With an average point differential of 13.5, they won 82-0. The Bucks gave Coach Kerr the only real scare when he threatened to hurt all four of his stars with Matthew Dellavadova’s shooting, but Zaza Pachulia’s 82 points made things right in the end.
