BAD NEWS: The Boston Celtics’ next game against the Miami Heat will be adversely affected by the NBA suspending two of their key players.
Ime Udoka, the head coach of the Houston Rockets, had a difficult night as his team lost 145-113 to the Boston Celtics on Saturday night in his first visit to TD Garden since he was fired by the team over his workplace misconduct scandal.
In addition to highlighting Udoka’s previous contributions to the Celtics in terms of shaping the team’s culture and young players (not always in a positive way, either), this intense game also highlighted the team’s ongoing success at home, as evidenced by the Celtics’ record-breaking 19-0 home winning streak, which is the longest in franchise history.
For the “Garden Report” podcast, reporters Bobby Manning and Josue Pavon of CLNS Media dove deeply into the dynamics of Udoka’s return and how it affected both clubs after the lopsided victory.
