Another important player for the Steelers has announced his retirement due to this heartbreaking…
Defense tackle Cam Heyward of the Steelers provides an update on his future and declares he is not retiring.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – Some of the Steelers’ most pressing concerns, like as defensive tackle Cam Heyward’s future and status, have already been addressed with less than a week remaining in the offseason.
Heyward definitively put an end to any speculation about his retirement.
On his show Not Just Football, Cam declared, “I hate to be blunt about it, but you know, I’m not retiring.” “I want to get well physically. I literally spent half the season hardly able to run because I played the entire season on one friggin leg.”
Heyward remarked after the Steelers’ AFC Wild Card loss to the Buffalo Bills that the fire is still burning strong.
Heyward remarked, “That’s what bothers me the most at night.” “You know, missing out on the chance to win a Super Bowl. You know, having watched every one of my teammates win before that. observing the customs and culture here. That should be how every male feels. You know, it hurts to not make it to the playoffs and to not be able to move on.”
The six-time Pro Bowler also talked extensively about how this season’s injuries hindered him.
Heyward remarked, “I don’t like playing football that way.” “You know, I don’t ever want to cheat the game and I don’t ever want to think I’m not going to be 100%, but that was the cards I was dealt this year.”
