Another important player for the Bills has announced his retirement due to this heartbreaking…

Fans, players, and coaches of the Buffalo Bills are having a terrible Monday.

After another devastating 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional round on Sunday night, it’s locker cleaning day for the Bills today.

Josh Allen delivered another outstanding effort for the Bills, rushing for two touchdowns and passing for another, including a fantastic toss across his body that was brilliantly caught by Khalil Shakir.

Still, short passes and running the ball were part of the game plan. That’s probably because they believed Patrick Mahomes would help the Chiefs win, even if the defense was decimated by injuries. The issue we observed was that, although it was mostly successful, Buffalo was incurred with a tiny margin of error.

With 1:50 remaining, the Bills were halted on third and 9 within Chiefs territory, and Tyler Bass missed a 44-yard field goal. After Kansas City gained a first down, the match was over.

One Bills player said that he is considering retirement during today’s locker room cleanup.

Jordan Phillips, a defensive tackle with the Bills, says he’s thinking of retiring and that “this might be it.”

DT Jordan Phillips of the #Bills plans to think about retiring, he said.

“This could be the one.”

31-year-old Phillips was selected in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. In addition to playing for Buffalo in 2022–2023, he did so again in 2019–2020.

When healthy, he’s been excellent, but since 2020, he has missed more than 20 games. Long-term health ultimately matters more, so now could be a good moment to give up.

The Bills require assistance at defensive line and linebacker depth in addition to wide receiver and safety. After Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones, there aren’t many options due to looming free agents. Defensive tackles need to get younger.
