Following a thrilling Saturday filled with NFL Playoff Divisional Round games, fans of the Washington Commanders will be in for an equally exciting Sunday.

Fans of the Commanders will hopefully get to watch their future coach in action, and they may even get to see some players who will soon be on their team.

Washington may be keeping an eye on these four prospective free agents in the Divisional Round on Sunday during the offseason.

In the first half at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles Chargers guard Jordan McFadden (71) blocks Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones (95).

It seems impossible that Evan would ever leave Tampa Bay when you take into account everything he accomplished with the team before, during, and after quarterback Tom Brady joined and left.

Though Bucs general manager Jason Licht did not respond favorably to Evans and his agent’s attempts to negotiate a new contract prior to the start of the season, Evans is still very much a possibility.

With his most recent season of 1,000 yards receiving, Evans set a record for the most consecutive seasons to begin a career. Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice is the only other player in NFL history to have accomplished this feat.

He turns 31 in August, and if Tampa Bay allows him to leave, he’d be a fantastic senior leader with unfinished business in Washington.

Lions receiver Josh Reynolds

Reynolds amassed 40 receptions in his second season in Detroit, good for 608 yards and five touchdowns.

Ben Johnson, his offensive coordinator, is one of the front-runners to take over as the Commanders’ next coach, and we all know how loyal players are to their teams.

Reynolds, a seasoned producer who would fit in well with third-year pro Jahan Dotson and star receiver Terry McLaurin, could arrive in Washington knowing everything there is to know about Johnson, including his language, scheme, and playbook.

How in the world could Washington entice a five-time Pro Bowl player and two-time First-Team All-Pro to leave a consistent Super Bowl contender?

Cash.

Jones played the entire season under the franchise tag; should Kansas City place him under it again, they will owe him $23.4 million of their estimated $26.9 million in salary cap space.

Bookkeeping caused the Chiefs to trade receiver Tyreek Hill, and they could watch Jones leave for the same reason.

Jones would make a good replacement for defensive tackle Jonathan Allen if the latter isn’t totally committed to the Commanders’ current build.

Washington undoubtedly possesses the funds necessary to make it happen.

Cornerback Dane Jackson of the Bills

Jackson was selected by Buffalo in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and since then, he has started in 28 games and recorded three interceptions.

In the Bills’ Wild Card victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, he registered just one tackle in the stat box. However, Pro Football Focus gave him an 82.1 coverage grade, allowing just 15 yards despite being targeted 17 times.

There’s a nice asterisk to put here while we wait for the hiring of a coach and determine the defense’s strategy because cornerbacks are largely scheme-dependent. However, if Jackson fits, his development into a productive seventh-round pick could continue with the Commanders.
