Deal done; Steve Kerr just hinted at the coming of yet another formidable beast.

Deal done; Steve Kerr just hinted at the coming of yet another formidable beast.

On Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors inked guard Jose Calderon to a contract; however, two hours later, they waived him.

In 24 games this season, including 11 starts, Calderon averaged 3.3 points, 2.1 assists, and 12.2 minutes. He will be paid in full for the undisclosed deal.

After it was discovered that Kevin Durant’s injury was more serious—a Grade 2 sprained MCL and a bone bruise on his left leg—he was signed for a brief period of time. The All-Star will be sidelined for at least four weeks.

Multiple media reports indicate that 37-year-old winger Matt Barnes will likely sign with the Warriors. On social media, Barnes also announced that he was joining Golden State, the team he played for in 2006–07 and 2007–09. Instead of signing a 10-day contract, he is reportedly going to sign a deal with Golden State for the remainder of the season.
