Steve Kerr recently revealed the addition of a strong new player to bolster his team’s offensive capabilities.
When the Golden State Warriors acquired Chris Paul from the Washington Wizards in the offseason, it became one of the most talked-about transactions of the year. The Warriors want to return to the level of performance that won them a championship in 2021–2022. The Warriors lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semifinals last year, despite defeating the young and talented Sacramento Kings in the opening round. At this point, the majority of NBA teams are finalizing their rosters for training camp, and the Warriors had a few spots open. They made a crucial acquisition this week when they brought in a former first-round pick. According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Warriors then signed Donovan Williams to a training camp contract.
Donovan Williams is reportedly being brought to camp by the Warriors to compete for a roster spot. He is a young (age 21) upside-down long wing (6–6, 7–foot wingspan). concluded the previous campaign in Atlanta on a two-way contract. During Warriors training camp, Donovan Williams will have to compete for a spot on the regular roster or a spot on the two-way contract. The Warriors have two open roster spots and 13 guaranteed contracts. They also have two two-way contracts filled and one remaining. Williams is most likely going to be considered for one of those spots.
