“Avoid Being Indolent” Before this weekend’s game against the Bills, the coach fiercely questions the star player of the Chiefs, scolding him for not being serious in practice.
Before the Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans play in the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium on January 19, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri, the helmet logo of the Kansas City Chiefs is visible on the field.
Following their victory over the Miami Dolphins in the wild-card playoff round last weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready for what should be a fantastic encounter with the Buffalo Bills.
These two clubs will play each other in the playoffs for the third time in the last four years; the Chiefs have won the prior two meetings.
This season, though, might be different since Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be playing in his first-ever road playoff game this Sunday in upstate New York.
On Fox Sports 1’s “First Things First,” former head coach of the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns Eric Mangini stated that Mahomes must improve this Sunday. In fact, he held Mahomes accountable for the Chiefs’ lack of home-field advantage against Buffalo.
“Are you aware of the Chiefs’ road trip? owing to Patrick Mahomes. It’s time for you to be the best of all time, if that is what Nick Wright says you are. Mangini stated as much.
In comparison to past seasons, Mahomes’ stats have decreased this year, and as Mangini noted, he has played a fair number of games with a passer rating of less than 80.
The former head coach added that although Kansas City is healthy overall, the Bills are hurt, particularly on defense.
Although Mahomes has a track record of winning big games, the Bills’ current form may make this one a little different for him.
Furthermore, he is no longer supported by Tyreek Hill or even JuJu Smith-Schuster.
However, if Mahomes wins on Sunday at Highmark Stadium in front of the Bills Mafia, he might further solidify his legend.
