Matthew Stafford, the quarterback for the Rams, was hurt in a big hit, but he played against the Lions.
In their playoff game against the Detroit Lions, the Los Angeles Rams came dangerously close to losing.
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford took a big hit from two Detroit defensive linemen late in the third quarter, with his team trailing 24-17 against the Lions in their Wild Card game. Stafford appeared to be seriously hurt.
On the play, Stafford was stooped over, stumbled to the sidelines, and clutched his arm near his side.
After that, the veteran was brought to the blue medical tent for additional testing.
According to accounts, one of the medical evaluators in the tent assisting with Stafford’s evaluation was the independent neurotrauma specialist.
Stafford has returned to the sidelines and has been making throws since going down during the play and getting evaluated; it is clear that he wants to return to the game.
On the following drive, Stafford managed to make it back.
Stafford has been effective, though, hitting 18 of 25 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns. Furthermore, he has accomplished this without the running game’s assistance, which has only yielded 32 yards on 10 carries.
In the first half, Stafford has completed passes to eight different receivers, including star rookie Puka Nacua, who has six receptions for 1114 yards and a touchdown.
