Tottenham Hotspour on the verge of signing this monstrous foofball wizard as terms are finally agreed and the super star is very keen to sign new deal with….

Ben Jacobs claims that Tottenham would prefer to sign a conventional center-forward next summer and that Timo Werner has not been signed as a possible Harry Kane replacement.

Now that Werner is here, Ange Postecoglou has a lot more options because the German international can play all three forward positions.

Spurs, who will be without their captain and talisman, Son Heung-min, for a few more weeks, definitely needed the additional offensive firepower up front.

After returning from the Asian Cup, Son may face competition from Richarlison for the number nine spot, but according to Jacobs, the former Chelsea player is not contracted to play center forward.

Harry Kane will only be replaced by Spurs in the summer.
According to the journalist, Tottenham is anticipated to make an offer for a striker similar to Harry Kane in the summer of 2019.

“We can’t call Werner a Kane replacement at all, because they are very different,” he stated on The Done Deal Show. “I think Tottenham will still be looking to, inverted commas, replace Kane in the summer, because Kane is irreplaceable, but you’re looking for someone in that Kane type model,” he added.

Spurs have been linked to numerous number nines in recent weeks, including Dominic Solanke of Bournemouth, Serhou Guirassy of Stuttgart, and Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord (Mirror and The Sun).

Although Tottenham will look to add a striker in the summer, I don’t believe Postecoglou would be all that interested in a conventional target man. Nines that can press from the front and have a lot of mobility are preferred by the Australian.
