Don Deal: A player valued over $900 million is welcomed by the Okc Thunder.

The Oklahoma City Thunder declared on Saturday that they had selected several players’ 2024–25 contract options.

The Thunder acquired Josh Giddey and Tre Mann’s four-year options as well as the third-year options of Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, and Ousmane Dieng.

Holmgren is expected to earn $10.9 million, Giddey $8.4 million, Dieng $5 million, Williams $4.8 million, and Mann $4.9 million.

There shouldn’t be much shock in this news. Teams typically choose to take up the team options associated with a first-round selection.

We can safely assume that Williams, Dieng, Giddey, and Holmgren will be on the Thunder in the upcoming season.

On the other side, Mann is on the bubble of the roster and might be cut before the 2023–24 regular season officially begins.

The Oklahoma City Thunder declared on Friday that contracts with their draft class had been finalized.

Cason Wallace, the No. 10 pick, was officially acquired by the Thunder on draft night and signed a multi-year contract. The first-round contract will be a standard four-year agreement with team options for the final two seasons.

The Thunder also declared that they have inked Keyontae Johnson, the 50th overall pick, to a two-way contract. Next season, Johnson will only be able to play in 50 NBA games, and he’ll probably spend a lot of time with the OKC Blue of the G League.

Wallace will be qualified to participate in the Las Vegas summer league now that he has a formal contract. During the event, the Thunder are expected to play at least five games.

Johnson, who missed the three games in Salt Lake City because of a hamstring strain, is also anticipated to make his Thunder debut this summer league.
