SEALED; Cleveland Browns has just completed another big signing.
In an attempt to strengthen their offensive line as they get closer to the playoffs, the Browns signed veteran guard to their practice squad.
Saffold, who is 35 years old and has 173 NFL games under his belt, is a seasoned player who was a vital member of the Bills’ squad last season, starting every game. The Rams, who selected him 33rd overall in the 2010 draft, and the Titans both spent a considerable amount of time with him during his career. Saffold was a member of the Jets’ practice squad recently, but in 2023 he did not see any playing time.
The Browns now have the option to activate Saffold for either their postseason run or their final regular-season matchup with the Bengals.
After the Baltimore Ravens’ convincing victory over the Miami Dolphins last Thursday night, the Browns sealed their playoff spot with a huge victory and the top wild-card spot in the AFC.
They play the Bengals to end the season before moving on to the January 13–15 Wild-Card round.
