The Washington Redskins selected Chase Roullier in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was selected in the late round on Day 3 and was a football player for Wyoming University. Following the injury to starting center Spencer Long, Roullier proceeded to start seven games at center in his rookie campaign. Over six seasons, he made 63 starts.
Using his Instagram account, Chase Roullier announced his retirement from football today, citing injuries that ended his previous two seasons in the league. Roullier sustained leg injuries that ended the season and required surgery in 2021 and 2022. Though there were encouraging tidings about his recuperation in the off-season, he never made it back onto the Washington field. After being cut after June 1st, he was released in May and visited the Arizona Cardinals as a free agent.
