Breaking news: Shane Steichen the indianapolis Colts coach sign 3 to reserve/future contracts

Today, the Indianapolis Colts signed guard Lewis Kidd, safety Michael Tutsie, and safety Kendell Brooks to reserve/future contracts.

After initially signing with the Arizona Cardinals on May 1, 2023, as an undrafted free agent, Brooks, 6-0, 206 pounds, took part in the team’s 2023 offseason program and training camp. He participated in 24 games (10 starts) during his two seasons (2021–2022) as a collegiate player at Michigan State. During his time with the Spartans, Brooks recorded 109 tackles (55 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, four passes defensed, and three forced fumbles. He attended North Greenville University for three years (2018–20) before attending Michigan State. During his time with the Crusaders, Brooks played in 19 games (10 starts) and tallied 78 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble.

The 6′ 6″ and 311-pound Kidd was a member of the team’s practice squad from Weeks 2 through 15. He took part in training camp and the offseason activities for the New Orleans Saints in 2023. Kidd signed with the Saints as an undrafted free agent on May 16, 2022, and made his debut in 13 games (one start) as a rookie in 2022. He participated in 54 games during his collegiate career at Montana State (2016–21), making 48 consecutive starts at guard and tackle. Kidd has the third-highest number of starts in school history. He was recognized as a member of the First Team All-Big Sky in 2021 and the Second Team All-Big Sky in 2019.

Tutsie, 5-10, 189 pounds, signed with the Colts on June 15, 2023, as an undrafted free agent. He took part in the team’s 2023 training camp. In his 68 games (56 starts) as a collegiate player, he finished with 338 tackles (184 solo), 10.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, 22 passes defensed, 11 interceptions, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one blocked kick at North Dakota State from 2018 to 22. Pronounce his last name as TUHT-zee.
