Henderson, Nevada: TE Zach Gentry from the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad has been added to the Las Vegas Raiders’ active roster, the team announced on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-8, 265-pound tight end Gentry was first chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round (141st overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played 40 games with 26 starts over his first four seasons in the league (2019–22), amassing 39 receptions for 303 yards. In 2021, he recorded his highest numbers of receptions (19), receiving yards (167) and average yards per catch (8.8).
Gentry, an Albuquerque, New Mexico native, spent his four seasons at Michigan playing in 33 games, 24 of which he started. He caught 49 receptions for 817 yards and four touchdowns.
The Raiders have also waived T Justin Herron and placed TE Jesper Horsted on the Reserve/Injured List.
