Report: Josh Callaway and Collin Kennedy of Sooners Illustrated preview the All-American Bowl in San Antonio and give updates on a number of targets in Oklahoma’s transfer portal.

Oklahoma is still pushing hard to add more impact players through the transfer portal, so this week’s episode of the Sooners Illustrated Podcast is a recap of the most recent developments.

Josh Callaway, the host, and Collin Kennedy, the lead recruiting analyst, discuss a number of transfer portal targets for the Sooners, including Jake Roberts, Caiden Woullard, and Nic Scourton, before giving a preview of the All-American Bowl weekend in San Antonio.

Kennedy stated, “I think everything is trending very, very well (for Roberts to land at Oklahoma).” For all the reasons we’ve outlined, Oklahoma will want to get involved with this guy.

Kennedy stated, “(Scourton) leads the Big Ten in sacks.” He weighs 280 pounds and stands 6 feet 4 inches. It’s one thing to have that production, which is why I bring it up. But we’re talking about an NFL frame of player when we talk about an edge rusher who is 6-4, 280.

The guys responded to Woodi Washington’s decision to return to Oklahoma for the upcoming season as they concluded the show.

Callaway declared, “Basically, all your guys are back.” “I’ve already mentioned that Ethan Downs is back, and we’ve hinted to the return of the d-tackles Da’Jon Terry and Jacob Lacey. Danny Stutsman, Billy Bowman, and Woodi Washington are all back.”

At every position group on your defense, you have seasoned, experienced players who have participated in numerous college football games and, in most cases, several years at Oklahoma.

Kennedy stated, “This is significant because you selected Dezjhon Malone from San Diego State through the portal, believing he would take Woodi Washington’s place.”

“You can have that guy as your corner No. 3; he’s a cornerback who weighs about 205 and 210 pounds and stands about 6-foot-2.”
