Jim Schwartz is content in Cleveland but would like to return to the position of head coach.

Jim Schwartz, who took over as defensive coordinator for Cleveland in his first season, was instrumental in turning the Browns into a formidable team that has propelled the team to the postseason.

With just 266.6 yards allowed per game, Cleveland leads the league in total defense heading into the final week of play.

This may contribute to Schwartz’s candidacy as head coach for this cycle. From 2009 to 2013, Schwartz was Detroit’s head coach, with a 29–51 record. 2011 saw the team’s only winning season and postseason trip under Schwartz, going 10-6.

When Schwartz joined the Lions, he was forty-three years old. He’s 57 years old now and has a ton more experience. Even though he’s having fun with the Browns, he stated on Thursday that he’d like to have another opportunity to manage a team.

Schwartz stated, “Well, to start with, I’m really happy here,” according to Scott Petrak of BrownsZone.com. “I adore this company. Cleveland is a city I adore. After 31 years in the NFL, that was one of my top five atmospheres on Thursday night. It was such a fantastic atmosphere [last week].
