Sadly, for the following reasons, two of the Oklahoma Sooners players has been suspended:
Carey Murdock of SoonerScoop broke the initial story about their identities on Twitter on Saturday.
Two football players have been suspended after one was arrested and later released, according to a Friday report from SI Sooners.
The OU sent a statement to SI Sooners saying, “We are aware of a matter that may involve OU student-athletes and are monitoring the situation closely.” “An ongoing investigation has resulted in the suspension of the concerned student-athletes. Right now, we don’t have any more information to provide.
Although sources at the university think only two football players were involved in the incident, which involved a “firearms violation,” Norman police told SI Sooners they thought a third person was involved.
The suspects are described as “possibly ballplayers from OU” by Norman police as they respond to a call at the Crimson Park Apartments, 2657 Classen Blvd., in the audio.

Bridges is later identified by three names by the police: T.J., Trejan (pronounced “Trey-hann”), and Trejan (pronounced “Trey-john”). The police describe Bridges as “a male victim bleeding from the head after being pistol-whipped.” Seth McGowan was identified by Norman Police Department as “a second suspect” as well, “based on victim looking through the roster and seeing the name Seth.”
Although Norman Police told SI Sooners on Friday that the suspect was only “detained” in the parking lot of a restaurant at 750 East Lindsey Street, one officer claimed that Bridges was “in custody” during the call.
During the incident, police also mentioned “designer shoes that were stolen, along with a camera.”
Due to a positive drug test, Carrollton, Texas resident Bridges was suspended from the 2019 College Football Playoff game against LSU. Bridges was given a 6-game suspension for the infraction, but because of his ongoing issues, his suspension was extended to 10 games before he was allowed to return before the Big 12 Championship Game of the previous season. He participated in the Cotton Bowl triumph over Florida as well.
