A SEAN MCVAY COACHING THE LA RAMS IN 2024 IS HIS PROMISE.

There will be no questions surrounding Sean McVay’s position as the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams in 2024. During a recent appearance on The Coach McVay Show, McVay promised he’ll be back with the team for the next season.

McVay flirted with stepping away from coaching in 2022, taking some time to think about his future in the NFL. He cited burnout as well as “professional failure” following a disappointing campaign as the reasons for the uncertainty.

At one point in The Coach McVay Show, there was a discussion about McVay being close to breaking John Robinson’s franchise record for most wins by a head coach. McVay asked “how far ahead” Robinson is, to which host J.B. Long responded that the record is in “striking distance next season” if McVay can “promise” there will be a Coach McWay show next season.

“That I can promise you,” McVay responded.

McWay, who took over as the Rams head coach in 2017, currently has 69 regular season wins. He needs seven more wins to surpass Robinson, who won 75 games during his nine years with the franchise.

After winning the Super Bowl in 2021, the Rams endured a disappointing campaign in 2022 that saw them finish with a 5-12 record. However, the franchise bounced back this season, currently sitting at a 9-7 record with a wild-card spot in the playoffs already secured.
