Unbelievable: The Chicago Bears have finally disclosed their decision regarding head coach Matt Eberflus.

Matt Eberflus, the head coach of the Chicago Bears, might not be leading the team in its final game this Sunday when it travels to face the Green Bay Packers. Chicago is out of the playoff picture with a 7–7 record, but they have won their last four or five games, indicating that they are playing much better in the final stretch of the season.

He is currently in his second season and may very well return to the Bears organization for a third. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that he made the following statement on Saturday, December 30 regarding Matt Eberflus’ potential return to the Bears in 2019:

As of right now, I would be shocked if Matt Eberflus was not back for the Chicago Bears. They appear much better now. They appear to be moving in the right direction, for sure. I’m only getting good vibes from Chicago.

Despite his 3-14 record in his debut season with the Bears, they were selected first overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. As a result of their trade with the Carolina Panthers during the offseason, they also own the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Carolina’s current record is 2-14.

Fans of the Green Bay Packers and Other Fans Respond to the prospect that Matt Eberflus will still be the Chicago Bears’ head coach in 2024.

After winning their last four of five games, Chicago has turned things around. A few weeks ago, it seemed inevitable that the team would fire Eberflus as head coach at the end of the season. Justin Fields, the quarterback, has also performed better.

Fans responded on Twitter to the possibility that Eberflus will play for the Bears again in the upcoming season. In addition, the Chicago Bears have lost nine straight games to the Green Bay Packers, who defeated them 38-20 in Week 1.

It would be fantastic if the #DaBears eliminated the #GoPackGo from the playoffs. However, it also means that Matt Eberflus will continue as head coach and that there will be no top-10 pick in addition to the first overall pick.

Even with the possibility that Matt Eberflus will remain with the Bears in 2024, some Chicagoans still want him gone. On the other hand, Chicagoans will be sick to their stomachs if the Green Bay Packers defeat the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon in order to advance to the postseason. That being said, there is still time for the Bears franchise to reconsider.
