The Detroit Lions still want to use a different uniform in 2024…..

For the 2024 NFL season, the Detroit Lions will not be receiving new jerseys.

According to team president Rod Wood, there will not be any new outfits in 2024 (via the Free Press). “I am aware that people grow beyond their skis on that. Since it takes about two years to truly take off, chief communications officer and brand officer Brian Ferrari, together with a group of collaborators, have been collaborating with Nike to look at potential 2025 uniforms. A fascinating makeover of the uniforms might ensue. However, we will have a brand-new substitute helmet this year. That was not what we did in 2023.

The team will try to introduce a new alternate helmet in 2023 even though they will not have a new outfit.

Thirteen teams seized the chance to wear alternative helmets and alternate jerseys in 2022.

When the Lions don their gray jerseys and pants, they will wear their alternate headgear.

Wood declared, “We are not going to the Portsmouth colors.” “No, it will remain in the grayscale and bluescale. Although I believe it is too early to tell for sure, at least at first, I would suggest that there has likely been greater change than when we last did it—I believe those were more subtle changes.”
