In 2024, the Oklahoma Sooners are prepared to put an end to the SEC’s offenses. Tuesday saw a slight improvement in their already potent secondary. Jocelyn Malaska, a former cornerback for Utah, declared his commitment to Oklahoma.

The 185-pound, 6-foot-1 cornerback still has three years left to be eligible. He fortifies the Sooners’ already formidable secondary, which should aid them in stopping elite passing teams. Head coach Brent Venables has some roster gaps to fill because the Sooners have lost a lot of players. Adding Malaska to the roster is the first step in roster expansion.

2024 Prospects
The Sooners have a few advantageous games at the start of the season. The season’s second half is particularly harsh. They have games against Ole Miss, Missouri, LSU, and Alabama in four of the past five weeks. The program will benefit from having the first part of the season to iron out any kinks before facing their most difficult opponents. More importantly, because they have missed many of the best portal targets, the team needs to address their quarterback situation.
