Regretfully, three of the Miami Dolphins’ best players have suffered grave injuries.
Before their Sunday matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, the Miami Dolphins released their final injury report for Week 17. It contained one conclusive response, one compelling recommendation, and one new area of concern.
Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is out for good, guard Robert Hunt is likely to miss his fourth straight game due to a hamstring injury after initially being listed as doubtful, and cornerback Jalen Ramsey is a new player who has a knee injury that has him listed as questionable.
Six players are classified as questionable, and six more do not have a game status designation indicating when they will be ready to play, making up the remaining portion of the final injury report.
OL Lester Cotton (hip), OL Liam Eichenberg (calf/ankle), S Jevon Holland (knees), CB Xavien Howard (hip/thumb), OL Austin Jackson (oblique), and RB Raheem Mostert (knee/ankle) were the six players deemed questionable.
QB Tua Tagovailoa, T Terron Armstead, WR Tyreek Hill, RB De’Von Achane, LB Andrew Van Ginkel, and WR Robbie Chosen—who have cleared concussion protocol—are among the six players who are cleared to play.
It’s important to note that Mostert, one of the players listed as questionable, has consistently missed practice and been on the injury report each week. However, this is the first time since Week 8 that he has been assigned a game status, despite head coach Mike McDaniel’s implied indication that he would be ready to play.
For the second straight week, Jackson is doubtful; however, he was active against the Dallas Cowboys but did not participate in the game. Holland has missed the last four games due to an injury he sustained in the Black Friday game against the New York Jets, but he is questionable for a fifth straight week.
