The coach of the Detroit Lions has declared the addition of a new star player.
Badgley was added by the Lions on Friday from their practice squad to the active roster.
Before Saturday’s game against Dallas, Badgley was eligible for his third and final elevation. However, Detroit decided to sign him to the active roster immediately, indicating that it has faith in the placekicker for the team’s remaining two games of the regular season and the duration of the postseason run.
He has made his lone field goal attempt (from 37 yards) and hit nine out of ten point-after attempts in the two games he has played.
