Regardless of how the rest of the season plays out with the Cleveland Browns, Joe Flacco does not plan to hang up his cleats after this one.
Since taking over as the Browns’ starting quarterback, Flacco has appeared to be among the league’s best quarterbacks. In four straight games, he has thrown for more than 300 yards, setting a franchise record. With Flacco in the starting lineup, Cleveland has a 4-1 record and has guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.
Despite being 38 years old, Flacco has shown he still has a lot of energy. Next season, he plans to pursue his career to the fullest.

I say, “Yeah, dude.” On Friday, December 29, Flacco stated, “I still want to go,” on the Pat McAfee Show. “I believe that a contributing factor is the rarity of long-term team failure after playing together for a considerable amount of time. However, you’re prepared to sort of step in as the backup in the hopes that you’ll eventually be able to return to the position where you believe you belong.
“I believe that many people would say that I would have been just fine hanging it up a year or two ago if they had looked at it from the outside. However, that was not my intention. I believed that I owed it to myself to continue and that I had to keep going.

Joe Flacco, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, and head coach Kevin Stafanski have a strong bond.
After spending 11 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, Flacco left the team in 2018 and has since moved around the league. Flacco was a starter and a backup for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets prior to joining the Browns.
In Cleveland, Flacco has rolled back the years. He has completed 1,616 yards of passing with 13 touchdowns and 8 interceptions in five games. Despite having several important players out due to injury, he leads an offense that completes 60.3% of its passes and has a QB rating of 90.2.
Flacco acknowledged that the offensive line of the Browns gave him time and kept him healthy.
“These guys are keeping me well-protected. Right now, I have a lot of space in my pocket,” Flacco remarked. “I feel fantastic.”
Against the Jets, he did get a little scared when Quinnen Williams charged up the middle and gave him a hard blow to the head. Nevertheless, Flacco rolled out of the tackle and connected with Jerome Ford for a 50-yard touchdown.
“On that, where was the flag?” grinned Flacco.

Browns quarterback Joe Flacco wants to play for two more seasons, according to an insider.
Regarding his future plans, Flacco has not given any details. But Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, an NFL insider, offered some perspective on how Flacco is approaching the remainder of his career.
On Friday, December 29, Breer wrote, “I’m told Flacco wants to play two more years in the league beyond this one.” “And while he spent his first few weeks in Cleveland playing as a practice-squad promotion, sources said that two other teams expressed a serious interest in signing him, which would suggest that Flacco will have outside interest to do just that.”
Flacco’s chances of staying with the Browns are slim if he wants to continue as a starter. Deshaun Watson should be prepared for the upcoming season to begin. When he returns, Cleveland’s $230 million quarterback will start.
