RB Zack Moss is out; Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. clears protocol
Wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. of the Indianapolis Colts has cleared the concussion protocol, but running back Zack Moss will not play against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The Colts (8-7) will not have Moss (forearm), head coach Shane Steichen confirmed on Friday, adding that Pittman “should be ready to roll.” Pittman and Moss sustained injuries in a Dec. 16 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Pittman cleared protocol last week before experiencing a relapse. They were both absent from Sunday’s 29-10 loss in Atlanta. Pittman, 26, has four touchdown catches in 14 games (13 starts) this season, and he leads the Colts with 99 receptions and 1,062 receiving yards.
With 764 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns, Moss, 26, is leading Indianapolis’ rushers. In 13 games (eight starts), he has also pulled in 27 receptions for 192 yards and two scores. In the Falcons game last week, Jonathan Taylor made his comeback to the backfield and ran for 43 yards and a touchdown. In eight games (five starts), he has amassed 457 rushing yards and five touchdowns. In 2023, he also had 16 receptions for 137 yards and one touchdown.
