Marcus Major, the running back
Marcus Major, a senior, has emerged as one of the Oklahoma Sooners’ best running back options thus far this season. But since October 21 against the UCF Knights, he has been sidelined due to a shoulder injury.

The offense for this game will suffer a significant setback as a result of his inability to participate in the Alamo Bowl.

Major has amassed 308 yards (3 carries x 3.9 yards) in rushing attempts and 12 receptions for 75 yards (6.3 yd per reception) with one touchdown on the ground.

Wide Receiver Andrel Anthony
Since the Red River Rivalry game, junior wide receiver Andrew Anthony has been out due to a season-ending knee injury that necessitated surgery. That obviously means Anthony cannot play in this game either. That’s too bad, because this was his best season playing in the offensive.

With 27 receptions for 429 yards (15.9 yards per catch) and a touchdown catch, he will cap off his junior college football career. It’s a major blow to the offense even though the Sooners managed to adjust their game plan without Anthony for the entirety of the second half of the season. however, it’s not nearly as much as it was when the injury occurred nearly three months ago.

Kaden Helms, Center
Kaden Helms, a rookie tight end, is hurt on offense as well for the Oklahoma Sooners. Like Anthony, he missed the entire college football season due to a knee injury that ended his season.

Since the 2022 season, Helms has not played in a single game. Even in his first season, Helms was only able to complete a four-yard reception before being declared out, meaning he did not get much of a chance to contribute to the Sooners’ offensive scheme.
